With each passing vintage, Homo Felix evolves subtly, always attuned to the whispers of our vines. This dialogue between soil, climate, and vine resonates within our wines.
In 2008, the idea took root, and thus Homo Felix was named (Joyful Man in Latin). My journey in Mendoza began in 2005, and I knew instantly that I couldn’t leave. I discovered magnificent land and people, forming a formidable team pursuing our passion.
From its inception, Homo Felix guides us, challenges us, and surpasses our expectations.

Life intertwined with terroir provides perspective; nature reigns. Thus, finding land for our wines marked the beginning of our journey. Our vineyards span two complementary regions in Mendoza: Alto Agrelo in Luján de Cuyo and Gualtallary in Valle de Uco. Malbec grapes thrive in Gualtallary benefiting from calcium-rich soils, extreme climate and thermal variation for fruit intensity and character. Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, show round tannins and structure from alluvial soils. Our Chardonnay from Los Chacayes, Valle de Uco, reveals a mineral character and balanced acidity from rocky, high-altitude vines.
“Homo Félix embodies the essence of terroir, learning, and perseverance. It’s the fruit of this enduring alliance.”

Each harvest translates into a terroir-driven and vintage-specific wine. Our red wines mature into Gran Reserves, reflecting vineyard work, grape selection, aging, and cellaring. The vineyard gives them identity, the harvest point brings tension, aging brings complexity, and cellaring adds elegance.
Every bottle from Homo Felix should be distinctive and memorable.
It’s more than just a philosophy; it translates into operational decisions that have an impact on energy and water savings, improved soil treatment and winemaking practices. This results in wines that authentically reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyard and grape variety.
Love and passion for what we do. Friendship to enjoy it. Experience to do it right. Personality to make it different. And patience so that it develops its full potential.
Patricio Eppinger (Owner and alma mater), Bernardo Bossi Bonilla (Winemaker), Marcelo Canatella (Agronomist), together we overcome stages that leave us unforgettable experiences and sublime wines.
“When a man’s dream aligns with a feasible project, he accomplishes it joyfully. When that dream involves passion and a necessary connection with nature, the outcome transforms him into a HOMO FELIX.“
“Sometimes time and patience come together to become a life ally. In high-quality wine, this alliance is an inherent part of the result.“
“Virtue is a potentially fleeting quality; what is not fleeting is what results from virtuous work.“
